Job Summary
Data Center Engineering Design Project Manager to lead the engineering and design of facility and building systems for Data Centers and other Critical Facilities Projects. Manage all phases of project delivery from design through QA/QC, staffing, and budgeting (P&L). Interface with clients to define requirements, manage relationships, and lead client meetings. Responsible for tracking progress, costs, and forecasts, generating reports, and ensuring adherence to company policies and strategy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors; develop engineering proposals and RFPs; drive business development for new projects in the area. Requires hands-on experience with data center/critical facilities design, a bachelor’s degree in ME/EE/Architecture, and a P.E./AIA credential (or working toward). PMP certification is a plus; military veteran experience in electrical/mechanical fields is a strong plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Architecture
- P.E. license / AIA - either have these certs or working towards it
- PMP certification a plus
- Experience managing engineering projects in the engineering consulting industry, A/E, MEP arena
- Project management experience in the Consulting Engineering Industry
- Client relationship / Client Management / Client Engagement / Business Development - creating RFPs
- Effective Communicator- emails, phone, meetings. Strong organizational, communication, and reporting skills
- Computer savvy / Microsoft Project, Excel. Ability to create complex reports, forecast modeling
- Hands on experience managing Data Centers / Critical Facilities Design Projects
