Data Center Electrician 1st shift (Monday- Friday)

Job Summary
Install AC and DC circuits from PDU to Customer Cabinets and manage all electrical operations within data centers, including UPS systems, 13.2kW transformers, 480V distribution, and building electrical. Monitor cooling capacity, temperatures, and efficiency while tracking electrical loads, customer consumption, and breaker availability. Maintain detailed site documentation of As-Builts, single lines, and pre-sales specs, and plan physical environment installs for capacity expansions and upgrades. Lead troubleshooting and repairs during equipment failures, optimize cooling and distribution for optimal PUE, and manage vendor preventive maintenance. Review and approve facilities maintenance tasks, propose improvements in cabling organization, and oversee record keeping. Participate in equipment startup, commissioning, post-incident reviews, and regular audits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or work equivalent
- Minimum 5 years work experience in managing mission critical facilities
- Knowledge of telecommunications and data center operations
- Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities
- Ability to prioritize with good time management skills
- Can work independently and consistently achieve results
- Experience with cooling subsystems such as Chillers, CRAC, CRAH, etc.
- Understanding of IT systems including but not limited to servers, network systems, fiber and copper cabling
- Familiarity with Uptime Institute and GreenGrid principles
- Experience in large, complex construction projects
- Ability to read and comprehend single line diagrams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 2nd Shift: Wed-Sat 2pm-12am
