Job Summary
Data Center Development Program Intern role focused on developing foundational skills in data center operations and facilities engineering. You will assist Facility Technicians and Engineers with daily operations and maintenance, monitor the Building Monitoring System (BMS), respond to basic alarms, help with customer installs and de-installs (including basic rack-and-stack, cabling, and asset handling), and process service requests and trouble tickets following standard operating procedures. The program emphasizes safety, hands-on learning across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fiber optic, firewall/fire systems, and building systems, as well as teamwork and a customer-focused mindset. You should be prepared for on-site, physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs) and to develop a foundational understanding of data center infrastructure while contributing to fast, detailed service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or relevant technical/vocational education
- Interest in HVAC, mechanical, electrical systems or maintenance
- Willingness to work on-site in data center environment
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and willingness to learn
- Customer-focused mindset and strong teamwork skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
