Job Summary
Act as technical authority on large data center projects from early concept through commissioning and handover, owning system-level design decisions for power, cooling, controls, alarms, and security. Review layouts, airflow concepts, cooling capacity assumptions, single-line diagrams, and supplier designs while developing technical requirements, specifications, scopes of supply, and risk assessments. Challenge engineering drawings, documentation, and architecture choices to ensure reliability, scalability, and maintainability. Support FATs, site inspections, commissioning activities, and acceptance testing. Collaborate with Project Managers, Sales, Procurement, vendors, customers, and Operations to translate customer needs into sound solutions. Bring deep expertise to strengthen standardization and design quality across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Germany.
Required Qualifications
- Hands on experience with data center infrastructure or other mission-critical environments, such as energy, pharma, industrial facilities, or similar
- Strong understanding of cooling systems and power infrastructure in mission-critical environments
- Proven hands-on experience with alarm and monitoring systems, including system architecture and integration with critical infrastructure such as power, cooling, and security
- Ability to interpret, review, and challenge engineering drawings, technical documentation, specifications, supplier designs, and system architecture choices
- Fluent English
- Senior mechanical technical specialist
- Confident in your technical judgement
- Comfortable challenging designs, suppliers, consultants, customers, and internal stakeholders
- Can explain complex technical choices clearly
- Comfortable reviewing drawings
- Comfortable questioning assumptions
- Comfortable calculating capacity
- Discussing design alternatives
- Explaining why a solution will work in practice
- Motivated by building trust across teams
- Close collaboration with Sales, Projects, Operations, vendors, and customers
- Based in Denmark
- Must be able to document that you have lived and worked in an EU or NATO country for the past 7 years
