Job Summary
Serve as the Owner's architectural SME and trusted advisor throughout planning, design, construction, and project execution phases. Partner with internal stakeholder teams, design consultants, construction management firms, and general contractors to administer design documentation and ensure compliance with Owner standards. Provide technical direction and comprehensive reviews of architectural design packages with a focus on life safety, egress requirements, ADA compliance, signage programs, and core data center building design. Develop, maintain, and enhance architectural design standards, campus planning guidelines, and prototype building templates. Lead technical reviews of consultant deliverables at key milestones, providing detailed peer-review feedback on Basis of Design documents and construction documentation packages.
Required Qualifications
- Data Center Architect with a proven background in the planning, design, and delivery of mission-critical data center facilities
- Deep understanding of large-scale mission-critical facilities and the architectural systems that support them
- Ability to serve as the Owner's architectural SME and trusted advisor throughout planning, design, construction, and project execution phases
- Experience partnering with internal stakeholder teams, design consultants, construction management firms, and general contractors
- Ability to administer design documentation and ensure compliance with Owner standards and project objectives
- Ability to provide technical direction and comprehensive reviews of architectural design packages
- Knowledge of life safety and egress requirements
- Knowledge of ADA compliance
- Knowledge of signage programs
- Knowledge of site planning
- Knowledge of core data center building design
- Ability to develop, maintain, and enhance architectural design standards, campus planning guidelines, and prototype building templates
- Experience leading technical reviews of consultant deliverables at key design milestones
- Ability to provide detailed peer-review feedback on Basis of Design (BOD) documents and 30%, 65%, and 100% construction documentation packages
