Job Summary
Data Center Construction Site Safety Specialist focused on maintaining a safe, compliant environment on mission-critical data center projects. Responsible for implementing site-specific safety plans, leading new-hire orientations and toolbox talks, coaching teams to correct unsafe behaviors, enforcing LOTO and electrical safety programs, conducting JHAs and Permit-to-Work reviews, maintaining audit-ready documentation in client EHS platforms, coordinating crane operations and heavy rigging in live environments, and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards (29 CFR 1926), NFPA 70E, and client safety requirements. Key activities include incident investigations, corrective/preventive actions, emergency planning, and supporting client audits with strong documentation, risk identification, and professional communication with contractors and owner representatives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of safety experience on large-scale or mission-critical construction projects
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction (required)
- NFPA 70E Certification (strongly preferred)
- CHST or equivalent safety certification
- First Aid / CPR / AED (required)
- Rigging & Signal Person Certification
- Confined Space Entry
- Arc Flash Awareness
- Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards and electrical safety requirements
- Ability to communicate clearly and assertively with all levels of project personnel
- Experience enforcing safety protocols in fast-paced, high-risk environments
