Job Summary
Manage day-to-day activities for critical data center construction projects on behalf of the owner, including liaising with contractors and vendors, negotiating contracts, and creating comprehensive project schedules. Lead multiple simultaneous projects by developing plans for size, costs, budgets, and timelines while overseeing change orders and ensuring delivery meets design standards. Monitor financial aspects of contracts, manage progress billing and equipment rentals, and represent the company in project meetings and departmental communications. Maintain detailed logs to track progress and assist with reporting and RFPs to contractors.
Required Qualifications
- BA / BS
- Experience managing Data Center Construction Projects as an Owner or as a General Contractor
- Experience managing a budget
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the Data Center Construction Industry
- Belong and Attend professional organizations such as AFCOM, ASHRAE, 7x24 exchange, PTC, DatacenterDynamics / DCD, Uptime, iMasons, Bisnow etc.
- Client Facing /Client relationship / Client Management skills
- Must be familiar with the design process of building systems for data center and mission critical projects
- Solid Construction Project Management experience
- Effective Communicator – emails, phone and face to face
- Ability to work independently
- Travel as needed to project sites
- Solid Admin skills
- Computer savvy: MS Project, Excel, P6 Oracle Primavera, AutoCAD a plus
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in the Military / Military Veterans
- Experience with Electrical / Mechanical: Navy nukes - EMN, ETN, MMNs, Seabees, Army - Power Generation, Air Force – Power Production, Generator Techs, Maritime, Coast Guard, Army National Guard, etc.
