Job Summary
Data Center Construction Project Manager/Owner's Rep responsible for delivering data center construction projects on time and on budget, managing contractors and vendors, creating and managing project schedules, developing project plans (scope, costs, budget, timeline), handling change orders, assisting with reporting and RFPs to contractors, delivering Built to Suit projects with value-engineering, enforcing Company Design Standards, managing contract finances, representing the company in project meetings, and liaising with managers across departments; travel to project sites and independent work capability are required.
Required Qualifications
- BA / BS a plus
- Experience managing Data Center Construction Projects as an Owner or as a General Contractor
- Experience managing a budget
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the Data Center Construction Industry
- Belong and Attend professional organizations such as AFCOM, ASHRAE, 7x24 exchange, PTC, Datacenter Dynamics / DCD, Uptime, iMasons, Bisnow etc.
- Client Facing /Client relationship / Client Management skills
- Must be familiar with the design process of building systems for data center and mission critical projects
- Solid Construction Project Management experience
- Effective Communicator – emails, phone and face to face
- Ability to work independently
- Travel as needed to project sites
- Solid Admin skills
- Computer savvy: MS Project, Excel, P6 Oracle Primavera, AutoCAD a plus
- Previous experience in the Military / Military Veterans a huge plus!
