Job Summary
Manage day-to-day activities for critical data center construction projects by leading contractors and vendors while ensuring delivery on budget, time, and quality standards. Create and maintain project schedules, budgets, and plans, including negotiating contracts and processing change orders. Liaise with internal department managers and external stakeholders to represent the company in project meetings and drive uniform delivery standards. Handle financial aspects of contracts, progress billing, and equipment rentals to protect company interests. Maintain detailed logs tracking project progress and assist with reporting and RFPs to contractors. Deliver built-to-suit projects with a focus on value-engineering.
Required Qualifications
- BA / BS
- Experience managing Data Center Construction Projects as an Owner or as a General Contractor
- Experience managing a budget
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the Data Center Construction Industry
- Belong and Attend professional organizations such as AFCOM, ASHRAE, 7x24 exchange, PTC, DatacenterDynamics / DCD, Uptime, iMasons, Bisnow etc.
- Client Facing /Client relationship / Client Management skills
- Must be familiar with the design process of building systems for data center and mission critical projects
- Solid Construction Project Management experience
- Effective Communicator – emails, phone and face to face
- Ability to work independently
- Travel as needed to project sites
- Solid Admin skills
- Computer savvy: MS Project, Excel, P6 Oracle Primavera, AutoCAD
Desired Qualifications
- BA / BS a plus
- Previous experience in the Military / Military Veterans
- Experience with Electrical / Mechanical: Navy nukes - EMN, ETN, MMNs, Seabees, Army - Power Generation, Air Force – Power Production, Generator Techs, Maritime, Coast Guard, Army National Guard, etc.
