Job Summary
Data Center Construction Project Manager – Owners Rep position in Phoenix, AZ. Responsible for total delivery of data center construction projects, coordinating contractors and vendors, ensuring on-budget and on-time delivery, adherence to Company Design Standards, and effective back-office processes (change orders, budgets, paperwork). Key duties include managing multiple projects concurrently, negotiating contracts, creating and managing project schedules and plans, supporting RFPs to contractors, delivering Built to Suit projects with value-engineering, enforcing company standards in project delivery, managing financial aspects of contracts, representing the company in project meetings, and maintaining logs tracking progress. Requires extensive experience in data center construction, strong client-facing and communication skills, travel willingness, and proficiency with project-management tools. Technical familiarity with building systems design, and experience using MS Project and AutoCAD are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Experience managing Data Center Construction Projects as an Owner, as a General Contractor, or from a Trade
- Minimum of 7-10+ years relevant experience in the Data Center Construction Industry
- Client Facing / Client relationship / Client Management skills
- Willingness to travel to project site
- Must be familiar with the design process of building systems for data center and mission critical projects
- Solid Construction Project Management experience
- Effective Communicator – emails, phone and face to face
- Ability to work independently
- Solid Admin skills
- Computer savvy: MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD a plus
