Job Summary
Manage day-to-day activities for critical data center construction projects by maintaining liaisons with contractors and vendors. Lead project delivery on budget and schedule while ensuring quality meets company design standards. Create project plans covering size-up, costs, budget, and scheduling; negotiate contracts; and oversee change orders. Represent the company in meetings and act as a key liaison to internal managers. Handle financial aspects including progress billing and equipment rentals to protect company interests. Maintain logs tracking progress and assist with reporting and RFPs. Deliver built-to-suit projects with a focus on value-engineering.
Required Qualifications
- BA / BS
- Experience managing Data Center Construction Projects as an Owner or as a General Contractor
- Experience managing a budget
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the Data Center Construction Industry
- Belong and Attend professional organizations such as AFCOM, ASHRAE, 7x24 exchange, PTC, Datacenter Dynamics / DCD, Uptime, iMasons, Bisnow etc.
- Client Facing /Client relationship / Client Management skills
- Must be familiar with the design process of building systems for data center and mission critical projects
- Solid Construction Project Management experience
- Effective Communicator – emails, phone and face to face
- Ability to work independently
- Travel as needed to project sites
- Solid Admin skills
- Computer savvy: MS Project, Excel, P6 Oracle Primavera, AutoCAD
Desired Qualifications
- BA / BS a plus
- Previous experience in the Military / Military Veterans
- Experience with Electrical / Mechanical: Navy nukes - EMN, ETN, MMNs, Seabees, Army - Power Generation, Air Force – Power Production, Generator Techs, Maritime, Coast Guard, Army National Guard, etc.
- MS Project, Excel, P6 Oracle Primavera, AutoCAD a plus
