Job Summary
Manage day-to-day activities for critical facility construction projects by maintaining liaison with contractors and vendors. Lead project delivery on budget and timeline while ensuring scope, quality, and company design standards are met. Create and manage project schedules, negotiate contracts, and handle change orders, budgets, and financial aspects including progress billing. Represent the company in project meetings and act as key liaison with internal department managers. Maintain all logs tracking project progress and assist with reporting and RFPs. Deliver built-to-suit projects with a heavy emphasis on value-engineering.
Required Qualifications
- BA / BS
- Experience managing Data Center Construction Projects as an Owner or as a General Contractor
- Experience managing a budget
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the Data Center Construction Industry
- Belong and Attend professional organizations such as AFCOM, ASHRAE, 7x24 exchange, PTC, Datacenter Dynamics / DCD, Uptime, iMasons, Bisnow etc.
- Client Facing /Client relationship / Client Management skills
- Must be familiar with the design process of building systems for data center and mission critical projects
- Solid Construction Project Management experience
- Effective Communicator – emails, phone and face to face
- Ability to work independently
- Travel as needed to project sites
- Solid Admin skills
- Computer savvy: MS Project, Excel, P6 Oracle Primavera, AutoCAD
Desired Qualifications
- BA / BS a plus
- Previous experience in the Military / Military Veterans
- Experience with Electrical / Mechanical: Navy nukes - EMN, ETN, MMNs, Seabees, Army - Power Generation, Air Force – Power Production, Generator Techs, Maritime, Coast Guard, Army National Guard, etc.
- MS Project, Excel, P6 Oracle Primavera, AutoCAD a plus
