Job Summary
Supervise all field construction work for electrical, mechanical, and controls subcontractors and self-performed tasks at data center job sites. Maintain liaison with the primary client, A/E firm, Owner's Rep, and vendors to facilitate activities while managing critical work objectives, planning, and methods of procedure. Provide leadership for MEP mission-critical activities, coordinate with the Construction Project Manager, and ensure equipment is properly installed, integrated, and energized. Facilitate weekly progress and safety meetings, confirm extra charges, and oversee the project closeout, demobilization, and transition to the client. Requires 8+ years of data center MEP construction experience, 50-75% travel, and proficiency in Microsoft tools and commissioning scripts.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of data center / critical facilities MEP construction experience
- Experience working for a General Contractor or Trade
- Experience managing MEP trades onsite as a Super at a data center construction project
- Detailed understanding of Mechanical and Electrical Equipment / Systems - integration, commissioning - including integrated testing, MOPs/ SOPs scripts, installation, functionality and troubleshooting
- Experience in directing and/or supporting the commissioning effort
- Willingness to travel 50-75%
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrates solid presentation, verbal, written and communication skills
- Demonstrates proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project, Timberline, etc.)
- Previous administrative experience managing change orders, billing, creating reports, etc.
- Previous experience in the Military / Military Veterans
- Experience with Electrical / Mechanical: Navy nukes - EMN, ETN, MMNs, Seabees, Army - Power Generation, Air Force – Power Production, Generator Techs, Maritime, Coast Guard, Army National Guard, etc.
