Data Center Construction Manager - Owners Rep

Job Summary
VP of Data Center Construction Projects to support critical facility construction delivery on the West Coast in an Owner's Rep capacity. Lead the data center construction project delivery program, provide senior leadership to Project Managers, manage budgets and schedules, contracts, and vendor relationships, drive strategy and business expansion, ensure adherence to company design standards, and represent the firm in client meetings and executive-level communications. Role requires overseeing live facility upgrades/retrofits across multiple projects, ensuring cost control, risk management, and high-quality execution, with travel as needed and active involvement in industry organizations.
Required Qualifications
- BA or BS a plus; advanced degree a plus
- Minimum of 7-10+ years of experience managing data center or mission critical construction projects with progressive leadership responsibility
- Experience managing multiple Data Center Construction Projects as an Owner or as a General Contractor
- Demonstrated ability to manage retrofit projects, interior fit outs, upgrades, or multi-site capital programs in a live data center environment
- Executive level client facing experience with strong relationship management and advisory capabilities
- Proven leadership experience supervising, mentoring, and developing project managers and teams
- Strong financial expertise with demonstrated success managing complex project budgets, executive level reporting, scheduling and SOPs
- Advanced computer proficiency: MS Project, Excel, Primavera P6; AutoCAD a plus
- Willingness to travel as required to support project and client needs
- Active participation in professional organizations such as AFCOM, ASHRAE, 7x24 Exchange, PTC, Datacenter Dynamics, Uptime, iMasons, Bisnow/DICE
