Job Summary
Data Center Construction Project Manager to support critical facility construction projects as an Owner’s Representative. Responsible for delivering data-center construction upgrades and retrofits on budget and on schedule, coordinating with contractors and vendors, producing project plans, managing change orders, and ensuring adherence to company design standards. Requires exceptional organizational skills, strong back-office and administrative capabilities, experience in budgeting and financials, and the ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships in a live data-center environment. Travel to project sites is required. Proficiency with MS Project, Oracle Primavera, P6, AutoCAD, and Excel is a plus. Previous experience in military-related facilities or veteran participation is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS preferred
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in Data Center Construction Industry
- Experience managing Data Center Construction Projects as an Owner or General Contractor
- Experience with retrofits, upgrades, and capital improvement projects in live data center environments
- Understanding of building systems design for data centers and mission-critical facilities
- Proficiency with project controls and scheduling (MS Project, Primavera)
- Strong client-facing/relationship-management skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and admin skills
- Willingness to travel to project sites
- Knowledge of budgets, change orders, and financial aspects of contracts
- Experience with reports, RFPs, and vendor negotiations
- Military/veteran experience a plus
- Ability to work independently
