Job Summary
Data Center Associate - Kitting responsibilities include providing and maintaining material orders, inventory management, and supporting the assembly and installation of servers and electronic components using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices. Daily tasks include loading/unloading freight, performing quality checks, executing inventory cycle counts and replenishment for critical spare parts, processing return shipments, placing server racks on the datacenter floor, populating and cabling electronic components into racks, installing rack hardware, and operating material handling equipment. Emphasis on safety, cleanliness, and 5S, with cross-training across datacenter departments. Requires good interpersonal and customer service skills and 1-3 years of related experience; knowledge of electrical safety and static discharge hazards; strong problem-solving and analytical abilities; ability to read diagrams/schematics and work with live electrical/electronic equipment.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of related experience
- Experience with computers
- Knowledge of electrical safety and static discharge protocols
- Ability to pass background checks and drug/alcohol tests
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to read diagrams and schematics for installing cabling and rack hardware
