Job Summary
Migrate on-prem SQL Server databases to AWS and Snowflake while developing Python scripts for data processing and loads. Build AWS data pipelines utilizing S3, Glue, and Lambda to support applications using Amazon RDS and DynamoDB. Manage database environments across PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and DynamoDB with hands-on experience in AWS technologies like RDS and DynamoDB. Requires 5+ years in Database Administration or Data Engineering, with specific expertise in AWS Database Migration Service and version control tools such as GitHub. This hybrid role in Richmond, VA, involves 2–3 days onsite each week and is open to U.S. residents through July 31, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Database Administration, Data Engineering, or similar role
- Experience migrating on-prem SQL Server databases to AWS and Snowflake
- Experience with AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) or similar migration tools
- Hands-on experience with AWS database technologies including RDS and DynamoDB
- Experience developing Python scripts for data processing and data loads
- Experience building AWS data pipelines using S3, Glue, and Lambda
- Experience with data modeling and supporting application data environments
- Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and DynamoDB
- Familiarity with version control tools such as GitHub
- Hybrid role requiring 2–3 days onsite each week and additional days if requested
- Candidates must currently reside in the United States
