Job Summary
Data & Backend Engineer working at the intersection of data engineering and software craftsmanship to build and maintain data pipelines and processing workflows for geolocation datasets at scale. Responsibilities include working with analytical and relational databases (ClickHouse, PostgreSQL), designing and developing backend microservices with FastAPI, and integrating into an event-driven architecture. You’ll write production-grade Python with an emphasis on code quality, maintainability, and testability, collaborate closely with product and design teams in a cross-functional setup, and contribute to AI-assisted development including building AI agents and multi-agent systems to accelerate insights. The role emphasizes adaptability, ownership of outcomes, and a product-minded approach to delivering robust data-driven features.
Required Qualifications
- Strong Python skills
- Data engineering experience with data pipelines or related databases
- Backend development with FastAPI or similar
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures (async patterns, queues, or streaming)
- Code quality mindset (tests, thoughtful reviews)
- Comfort with change and ambiguity
- Openness to AI-augmented development
