The Data Automation Engineer will manage the scheduling, monitoring, and delivery of client reports, ensuring secure and timely distribution. Key responsibilities include automating and versioning reports, troubleshooting delivery failures, and developing automated solutions to improve efficiency. Candidates should have strong technical skills in Python and SQL, experience in data-focused roles, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a reporting, workflow automation, operations, or data-focused role
- Strong hands-on experience with Python (e.g., scripting, automation, error handling, logging)
- Proficient in SQL for querying and transforming data
- Experience with scheduling/orchestration tools (e.g., Prefect, or similar)
- Familiarity with secure file transfer methods (SFTP, encryption) and access controls
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accountability for time-sensitive deliverables
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to BI/reporting tool (e.g. Tableau)
- Previous experience using Snowflake data warehousing
