Job Summary
Data Architect SME sought in the McLean, VA area for an on-site, full-time role supporting federal government and intelligence initiatives. You will serve as a subject matter expert in Cloud, Enterprise Architecture, AI, and associated platforms, performing complex systems architecture and engineering to define and implement enterprise-wide IT solutions across multi-cloud environments with a focus on regulatory compliance, security standards (FedRAMP, NIST 800-53 Rev 5, FISMA, CNSSI), and data governance. Responsibilities include creating and visualizing architecture data, guiding AI/ML lifecycles, ensuring interoperability and data protection, collaborating with government customers to assess mission drivers and craft transition plans, evaluating emerging technologies, leading architectural progress toward multi-cloud/AI strategies, contributing to Enterprise IT Architecture roadmaps, and producing technical guidance for executive leadership. Requirements include active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and a tiered experience pathway (Senior/Lead/Expert levels) with progressive education/experience combinations, and strong leadership of cross-functional teams. The role emphasizes independent, mission-driven work and alignment with federal priorities.
