Data Architect Sr

Job Summary

Conduct research into technologies including data warehouses, integration, master data, and cloud services to support Fidelity's divisional strategy. Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data streams, integrations, and transformations while defining the data architecture framework, standards, and principles. Design conceptual and logical data models, establish reference architectures, and map data flows across the organization. Collaborate with departments, stakeholders, and external vendors to develop solutions for storing and retrieving company information, providing business analyst support to improve data quality and delivery timeliness.

Required Qualifications

  • Current work authorization for Canada
  • University Degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Data Architect
  • Experience implementing RAG architectures, fine-tuning LLMs, or integrating GenAI into enterprise systems
  • Background in MLOps, CI/CD for Machine Learning pipelines, or automated model lifecycle management
  • Proven experience in database logical and physical build
  • Expertise in BI and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, and PowerBI
  • Advanced skills in Analytics, AI/ML, data source analysis, and overall data management
  • Master Data Management experience with Ataccama or other industry-leading vendors like IBM and Informatica
  • Proficiency with Cloud technologies (AWS preferred)
  • Proficiency in data warehousing, ideally with experience in Snowflake
  • Experience with data integration platforms, specifically Boomi iPaaS
  • Strong database build skills and experience with Microsoft SQL, Oracle, AWS Aurora, MYSQL, PostgreSQL, and ProgressDB
  • Familiarity with leading open-source tools like Apache Sqoop, KNIME, RapidMiner, Elasticsearch, Pig, Hive, and Kafka
  • Experience with architecture enterprise management platforms (LeanIX preferred)
  • Experience leading architectural design and transformative initiatives in AI
  • Good project management skills and structured process mapping skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, communication and presentation skills
  • Able to build relationships and work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Architecture management and governance of structured and unstructured data
  • Strong understanding of Data Governance's principles and tools
  • Experience Data Modelling and Technical Data Analysis
  • Must be available for weekend shifts
