Job Summary
Consolidate multiple reporting data marts into an integrated Enterprise Data Warehouse and supporting data marts and views for the Justice Information Management System 3.0 modernization initiative. Lead data architecture, profiling, modeling, ETL development, quality assurance, and reporting validation while enforcing enterprise data governance and cybersecurity policies. Utilize tools such as SAP/Sybase PowerDesigner, SQL Server Integration Services, and Power BI to deliver solutions for technical and non-technical stakeholders. This remote position requires a post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline and 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and public-sector environments.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Management, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience providing architecture risk assessments and architecture-related services
- 2+ years of experience working in or with public-sector environments, with an understanding of public-sector policies and practices
- 5+ years of experience working with data architecture, data modeling, and enterprise data solutions
- 5+ years of experience developing with data modeling/architecture tools such as SAP/Sybase PowerDesigner or equivalent
- Strong experience with data warehousing, ETL, data marts, facts, dimensions, and data modeling
- Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Strong SQL and relational database experience
- Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence/reporting tools
- Strong understanding of information management, data governance, data quality, and cybersecurity policies
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
