Job Summary
Data Architect at Ramboll Tech focusing on transforming data into a strategic asset within an AEC-focused architecture. Lead the design of scalable, secure data systems; develop EDWH/engineering data warehouse solutions; define data models and architecture standards; ensure data quality and governance; collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, product owners, and enterprise architects; drive AI-enabled data products and data platforms; contribute to governance, tooling, and interoperability across multiple geographies. The role emphasizes building robust data architectures, data products, and scalable pipelines aligned with enterprise data strategy, while operating in a hybrid working arrangement in Berlin, Germany.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of professional experience in data architecture
- Strong focus on cloud architecture, data integration, and data modelling
- Deep understanding of the modern data stack and components
- Experience in data governance and data quality
- Experience in data warehousing, data lake, Data Mesh
- Experience with data modelling, ETL, and data integration
- Proven experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Excellent communication and ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with DAMA-DMBOK and data as a strategic asset
- Experience with data protection standards (GDPR) across multi-geo environments
- Knowledge of enterprise data architecture standards and governance practices
- Experience with data contracts, interoperability patterns
- Proficiency in SQL and data pipelines
- Experience in engineering platforms and data integration with engineering systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric is a plus
- Relevant cloud certifications are a plus
