Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale Power BI semantic models while architecting scalable data infrastructure for multi-tenant SaaS analytics. Define best practices for dataset governance, optimize DAX calculations and storage strategies, and manage service environments including workspaces and deployment pipelines. Monitor cloud database performance, conduct capacity tuning for growth, and partner with teammates to improve ETL pipelines and reporting architecture. Provide technical guidance on semantic layer design and support cross-functional stakeholders with scalable solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or related field)
- 10+ years of experience as a data analytics developer or engineer
- Experience in developing data architecture solutions using Tabular Editor is highly desirable
- Experience with databases for high performance, multi-tenant web applications is necessary
- Familiarity with Azure cloud data services
- Experience with dev tools including Git, Azure, DevOps, Visual Studio, Jira
- Understanding of modern data development technologies (data engineering, pipeline, ETL)
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Work Location: Calgary, AB (Office is located downtown)
- Work remotely: Hybrid work schedule
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in developing data architecture solutions using Tabular Editor is highly desirable
- Experience in the energy, drilling and/or mining sector is an asset
