Job Summary
Design scalable, secure, and highly available enterprise data architectures for analytics, AI, and ML workloads. Architect, implement, and optimize databases including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Graph Databases across Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, and AWS, Azure, or GCP. Lead database modernization, migration, and transformation initiatives while defining governance frameworks and security standards. Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Data Science, and DevOps teams to deliver robust data solutions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Evaluate emerging technologies to recommend improvements to the organization's data ecosystem. This remote position requires 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture and Database Engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Database Engineering, or related roles
- Strong expertise in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Graph Databases
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Databricks, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Proven experience in enterprise-scale database migration, modernization, architecture design, and performance tuning
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, distributed database systems, governance, security, compliance, and data lifecycle management
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, data warehousing, and big data technologies
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience building data platforms that support AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Large Language Model (LLM) applications is highly desirable
- Cloud, database, or data architecture certifications are an added advantage
