Job Summary
Shape and evolve AP+'s data architecture by developing secure, scalable, and reliable data solutions that align with enterprise strategy. Lead design across complex initiatives, translating business objectives into coherent conceptual, logical, and physical data designs. Establish and embed data architecture standards and governance to ensure security, privacy, and quality are consistently applied. Provide authoritative technical leadership by guiding decisions on data modelling, integration, and platform design while assessing risks and trade-offs. Enable the evolution of modern data platforms to support advanced analytics, AI-driven insights, and data products. Build trusted partnerships across business and technology teams to simplify complex concepts and identify value opportunities. This role requires seven years of data architecture experience, ideally within payments or financial services, with proven expertise in AWS and Snowflake.
Required Qualifications
- Significant Data Architecture experience
- Minimum of seven years experience
- Experience within payments, banking or financial services
- Proven experience designing enterprise data platforms within AWS
- Proven experience designing enterprise data platforms within Snowflake
- Architecture that enables advanced analytics, AI-driven analysis and modern data products
- Strong data modelling and solution design expertise
- Experience translating complex and sometimes ambiguous requirements into conceptual, logical and physical data architectures
- Strong technical knowledge across the modern data stack
- Knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of ETL
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of Snowflake
- Exposure to analytics and visualisation tools such as Power BI
- Exposure to ML-based analysis
- Demonstrated architecture leadership and influencing skills
- Ability to evaluate complex design options
- Ability to manage architectural risk
- Ability to provide credible specialist advice to technical and business stakeholders
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience in data, information systems, computer science, engineering or a related discipline
