Job Summary
Design scalable data architecture solutions aligned with enterprise standards, translating business requirements into logical and physical data models for reporting and analytics. Develop approaches for data ingestion, transformation, and storage across Azure cloud and on-premise environments, supporting SAP ECC, BW, and S/4HANA systems. Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams to optimize data pipelines, implement ETL/ELT frameworks, and ensure data quality, lineage, and security compliance. Lead architecture activities for small projects and contribute to larger transformation programs while maintaining independence on complex assignments.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data modeling techniques, and data integration methodologies
- Experience designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions within Azure environments
- Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks (PySpark, Spark SQL)
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)
- Experience with Power BI
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT design and implementation methodologies
- Experience with data warehousing, Lakehouse architecture, and modern analytics platforms
- Strong SQL development and performance optimization skills
- Familiarity with SAP data structures and source systems including SAP ECC, SAP BW, and SAP S/4HANA
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex data and integration challenges
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline and 5+ years of relevant experience, OR Minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, analytics platforms, or related data management disciplines
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise data solutions supporting reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives
- Experience participating in cross-functional project teams and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently on complex assignments with limited supervision
- Effective stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Collaborative approach with a focus on practical and business-oriented solutions

- Domestic and international travel may be required based on business needs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with SAP extraction technologies including CDS Views, ODP, OData, or SAP Extractors
- Knowledge of Microsoft Purview, Collibra, or similar data governance solutions
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Synapse Analytics, or other cloud data platforms
- Domain knowledge in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, or Commercial Operations
- Professional certifications related to Azure Data, Databricks, SAP Data & Analytics, or Data Architecture
