Job Summary
Data Annotation Specialist for software engineering tasks in a part-time independent contractor role in Canada. Responsibilities include evaluating the model's ability to respond to coding tasks, reviewing code and repository structures, assessing agent trajectories and model capabilities for code generation and debugging, prompting models to complete complex coding tasks, labeling and proofreading outputs, and reporting quality and performance trends related to model/agent behavior. Requires 3-5 years of software engineering experience and proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, Go, and SQL; experience designing, building, and deploying APIs; familiarity with code agents is a plus. 16 hours per week minimum at a 40 CAD/hour rate; remote work within Canada; 12-month contract; BYOD; independent contractor arrangement with potential for incentives. Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of relevant software engineering experience
- Proficient knowledge of Python and Java, JavaScript, Go, and SQL
- Experience designing, building, and deploying APIs
- Experience working with code agents or evaluating agent trajectories is a big plus
- Ability to commit to 16 hours per week minimum at 40 CAD/hour contract rate (part-time independent contractor)
- Remote work within Canada
