Job Summary

Data and AI Architect role focusing on defining enterprise data architecture and an AI-enabled governance framework for the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority. Responsibilities include formulating the data architecture and development roadmap within the Enterprise Architecture framework; instituting data governance, design principles, standards, and operational models; defining data ownership and stewardship, and guiding data and AI technology adoption with practical guidelines for business applications and data products; advising on patterns for industry-scale data hub solutions and risk mitigation in data and AI domains; nurturing team practices in data governance and ensuring architecture artifacts are well-documented to enable sharing and reuse; staying current with data and AI trends and identifying value cases; performing additional duties as directed. Requirements include a recognised university degree in computer science or information systems or equivalent, minimum 10 years of IT experience with at least 1 year in Data Architect-related roles, strong data governance experience in large-scale organisations, hands-on experience with large-scale data hubs and AI-enabled enterprise use cases, TOGAF familiarity, and excellent English and Chinese communication skills; demonstrated leadership and stakeholder influence across the organisation.

Required Qualifications

  • recognised university degree in computer science or information systems or equivalent
  • minimum 10 years of IT experience
  • at least 1 year in Data Architect-related roles preferred
  • active engagement with data governance practices in large-scale organisations
  • experience in architecting and developing large-scale data hub, big data analytics, or data service applications
  • practical experience in developing, implementing, or applying AI technologies for enterprise use cases
  • experience in steering AI technology adoption
  • familiarity with enterprise data modelling, data lifecycle management, and data technologies including big data platforms, analytics tools, data visualization and dashboards
  • good understanding of IT governance and enterprise architecture frameworks; TOGAF certification preferred
  • strong leadership and communication skills; ability to influence executives
