Job Summary
Provide technological and analytical support to the Exploration area through the implementation, development and maintenance of technology solutions, data analysis and artificial intelligence, in order to optimize geological decision-making, improve operational efficiency and enhance value generation in exploration projects. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining exploration databases (drilling, geochemistry, geology, and logistics operations), developing automated dashboards/reports, ensuring data quality and governance; identifying AI use cases, implementing ML models for exploration and operations, automating data analysis processes, evaluating new AI tools, and developing predictive models to optimize activity planning; managing systems and field technology infrastructure; coordinating with IT; and driving digital transformation through automation tools and team training. Skills/tools required include Python, R, or SQL; SQL/NoSQL databases; Power BI/Tableau; machine learning; GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS); experience with geological software (Leapfrog, Datamine) is desirable; and strong English proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Completed University Studies in SYSTEMS ENGINEERING or COMPUTER SCIENCE
- Completed Master's or Fourth-Level Studies in PROGRAMMING AND SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT or related careers
- 5 years in similar roles (ideally in mining, energy or geosciences)
- Experience with large volumes of data
- Programming in Python, R, or SQL
- Database management (SQL/NoSQL)
- Visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or others)
- Machine learning/AI (predictive models, clustering, optimization)
- GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS)
- Desirable: Geological software (Leapfrog, Datamine, etc.)
- Desirable: Logistics optimization modeling and simulation
- Knowledge of English (intermediate)
- Specialization in data analytics or artificial intelligence
