Job Summary
As part of Milliman's Data Enablement Team, the Data and Application Integration Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring data migration integrity and quality during a major business transformation. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable application integrations, building and supporting application-to-application integrations, migrating legacy processes to a standardized platform, and developing data integration pipelines. Required skills include expertise in Azure Data Factory, SQL, Python, and experience with relational databases, along with strong analytical abilities and experience with data governance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in application integration or systems engineering, preferably supporting large-scale system implementations.
- Experience in data and app integration tools like Azure Data Factory, Boomi, Snaplogic, Workato etc.
- Proficiency with SQL, Python and experience working with relational databases.
- Strong experience with data analysis, data profiling, data mapping, and ETL processes.
- Experience with Fabric Azure cloud platform.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices, tools, and automation pipelines.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with HRIS, Finance, Legal, or Professional Services Automation systems.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with data governance and data quality best practices.
- Experience in the insurance, risk management, or financial services sectors.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data privacy and security.
