Job Summary
Parsons is seeking an experienced Data Analytics Team Lead to guide the design, development, and delivery of advanced analytics that support enterprise-level decision-making. The role is based onsite at the Parsons DC office and involves leading the creation of metrics, dashboards, KPI frameworks, and benchmark analyses, consolidating data from multiple systems to provide trusted insights, driving data quality improvements, and mentoring analysts. The ideal candidate will translate business needs into analytical requirements, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure analytics products are robust, scalable, and aligned with organizational standards. Key responsibilities include leading analytics solutions, consolidating data from multiple systems, defining KPIs, developing dashboards and reports, ensuring data quality, guiding stakeholders, documenting methodologies, conducting advanced analytics, providing technical guidance, and supporting analytics-related project planning. Required experience includes a Bachelor's degree, 8+ years in DHS/DoD environments, 8+ years in data analytics with KPI development and dashboards, data modeling expertise, proficiency with Power BI and SQL, and prior leadership or mentorship experience. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of experience working within DHS or DoD environments
- 8+ years of hands-on data analytics experience, including KPI development, dashboarding, and performance measurement
- Strong background in data modeling, data structures, and relational concepts
- Proficiency with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) and data preparation tools (e.g., Power Query, SQL)
- Experience leading analytics initiatives or teams, including prioritization, stakeholder engagement, and delivery of complex analytical products
- Ability to translate complex business needs into analytical requirements and deliver intuitive reporting solutions
- Mentoring analysts and contributing to analytics standards and governance
