Job Summary
Data & Analytics Engineer to own and expand the data platform infrastructure for True Classic, building and maintaining dbt models, ETL/ELT workflows with Daasity and BigQuery, deploying Omni dashboards for cross-functional stakeholders, and supporting KPI tracking, forecasting, and revenue projections. The role involves bridging data to the business, contributing to predictive models for demand forecasting and inventory planning, and building the serving layer for AI teams to query clean, modeled BigQuery tables. Daily work includes using AI coding tools to develop pipelines, collaborating with AI, finance, merchandising, operations, and analytics teams to translate business questions into reliable data models and visualizations, and ensuring data quality and performance in a fast-paced environment. The position is on-site in Calabasas, CA.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering
- Strong understanding of data engineering best practices: pipeline design, data modeling, testing, and documentation
- Hands-on experience with dbt Cloud, Google BigQuery, and SaaS API pipeline development
- Strong SQL skills including joins, window functions, and CTEs
- Python proficiency for pipeline scripting, API integrations, and light modeling
- Familiarity with statistical modeling and predictive analytics (regression, time series)
- Comfortable working with non-technical stakeholders to translate business questions into data models and visualizations
- Proficiency with AI coding tools — daily use expected
