Job Summary
Data Analytics Developer in FMNE Insurance’s Actuarial Department is responsible for preparing, transforming, and integrating data for actuarial analyses, including ETL/ELT, data cleansing, validation, and the creation of tables, views, and stored procedures. The role collaborates with Data Scientists, Actuarial Analysts, and IT to ensure data quality, reliability, and performance of solutions, designs dashboards and reports with Power BI, supports pricing and reserving activities, maintains ETL processes, adheres to data governance and security policies, and supports cross-departmental data needs. Regular in-office attendance is an essential function; the role supports a hybrid work model for eligible employees and is based in Lincoln, NE.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or other analytical areas.
- Minimum of three years of experience working with data.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Knowledge of SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI or equivalent.
- Experience with Python and/or R.
- Familiar with Azure data services including Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Knowledge of data tools, techniques, and manipulation including cloud platforms, programming languages, and technology platforms.
- Knowledge of insurance industry preferred.
