Job Summary
Consult with users to identify data sources and validation standards, then integrate information from multiple areas to ensure accuracy and integrity. Analyze trends and conduct root cause analysis to suggest process improvements, while managing ad-hoc report requests to develop reporting processes. Prepare data visualizations and ongoing reports that support business decisions and organizational efficiency initiatives. This role requires a Bachelor's degree or five years of health-related experience, with a preference for SAS, SQL, and Cognos proficiency. Security and confidentiality of records are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Math, Business, Data Science/Informatics, Actuarial Science, Healthcare Management, or other related field
- five (5) years' health-related, non-clerical experience with an insurance, managed care, or healthcare technology-related organization
- Minimum three (3) years' data analytics experience
- Experience with rational database i.e. SAS, SQL, AQT and MS Windows based query software

- Manages and uses ad-hoc report requests and findings to develop reporting processes
- Serves on special projects
- Segregation of Duties guidelines in the Administrative Manual
- periodically has lifting and carrying requirements up to 40 lbs
- routinely travels for work within walking distance of location of primary work assignment
Desired Qualifications
- applicable Masters in related field
- minimum one (1) years' data analytics experience
- Experience with the application of data management and analysis tools including but not limited to MS Access, SAS, R, S+, SQL, or Cognos
