Data Analyst / Technical Writer

Job Summary

Analyze technical, program, and data-related information to convert it into clear reports, presentations, guides, and documentation. Write, review, revise, and maintain technical articles, manuals, reports, and other informational products while translating complex concepts into understandable business language for diverse audiences. Develop white papers, executive summaries, and presentation materials, and produce field definitions and data-flow documentation. Coordinate document formatting, graphics, and final production to support software, systems engineering, and end users. Capture business requirements and help translate them into technical specifications. Draft and edit materials related to data policy, governance, and interoperability. Work with subject-matter experts to gather, validate, and organize information. This full-time position requires TS/SCI clearance and CI polygraph, with on-site work within 50 miles of McLean, Virginia.

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to meet customer access requirements
  • CI polygraph requirements
  • Strong writing, editing, grammar, formatting, and document-production skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical or data-related information
  • High school diploma/GED and 6 years of relevant experience
  • Associate degree and 4 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience
  • Master's degree
  • Qualifying experience must have occurred within the past 15 years
  • Must be available for on-site work within 50 miles of McLean, Virginia
  • Full time position

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience developing technical documentation, executive briefings, user guides, data definitions, process documentation, or requirements materials
  • Experience supporting software, systems engineering, data governance, IT operations, testing, or federal program environments
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, or similar tools to develop polished technical and visual products
