Job Summary
Senior Data Analyst – AI Research Systems Support for VA ORD, focusing on AI-driven analytics, research portfolio analysis, and enterprise modernization. Responsible for data extraction, transformation, analytics, and reporting across multiple enterprise sources; developing and maintaining dashboards and data visualizations; supporting ETL workflows and AI-enabled analytics including LLM-related retrieval workflows; collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders to enable AI pilot initiatives and operational improvements; preparing executive-level summaries and dashboards for leadership; requires US citizenship, federal clearance readiness, and the ability to work remotely in a distributed environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with SQL, Python, ETL processes, databases, and analytics/reporting environments.
- Experience developing dashboards, reports, data visualizations, or business intelligence solutions.
- Experience supporting cloud-based analytics, data warehouse, or data lake environments.
- Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, large language models (LLMs), or AI-enabled analytics workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
- Experience supporting data quality management and validation activities.
- Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to executive and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to obtain and maintain public trust clearance.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting VA, VHA, federal healthcare, research, or enterprise analytics environments.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence and visualization platforms.
- Experience supporting AI-enabled analytics, retrieval workflows, or data-driven reporting solutions.
- Familiarity with REDCap, healthcare data systems, or research data environments.
- Experience supporting operational analytics, portfolio analysis, or reporting modernization initiatives.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Experience working in fast-paced, matrixed environments supporting multiple concurrent priorities.
- High degree of professionalism, discretion, and mature judgment in handling sensitive information.
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, healthcare informatics, mathematics, public health, or a related field.
- Desired: Master’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, healthcare informatics, mathematics, public health, or a related field
- Required: 8+ years of experience supporting data analytics, reporting, statistical programming, or enterprise data operations in a complex organization.
- Desired: 12+ years of experience supporting data analytics, reporting, statistical programming, or enterprise data operations in a complex organization.
