Job Summary
Data Analyst responsible for coordinating the workload of the Information Services team, leading projects, serving as the reporting/data liaison to partner agencies, triaging help desk items, and coordinating IS training. Develop KPIs, oversee data collection, and prepare/submit reports for internal programs and external funders. Provide technical support for data systems, ensure data integrity, run routine reports, and create new reports as needed. Manage the data team and oversee HMIS data quality and reporting processes; prepare final analyses and dashboards for management and stakeholders; utilize statistical tools to identify patterns and trends, and present actionable insights for decision making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, computer science, computer information systems, information technology field OR 3-5 years of experience in similar roles
- 2+ years experience with programming languages such as R, Python, SQL, or Oracle
- Experience handling reporting packages like Business Objects, programming (JavaScript, XML, or ETL frameworks), databases
- Proficiency in statistics and statistical packages like Excel, SPSS, SAS to be used for data set analysis
- Training or experience in data analysis and data-based report generation
- Experience cleaning and preparing data
- Experience developing reports and dashboards
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal relationship skills
- Basic understanding of homelessness, chemical dependency, mental health, domestic violence and sexual assault
- Experience working with homeless/low-income population preferred but not required
