Job Summary
Data Analyst supporting the Department of the Air Force FIAR initiative in the National Capital Region, focusing on financial data automation, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled mission support. Responsibilities include integrating FM data sources, automating key workflows, developing data visualizations and analytics solutions, applying OCR and AI/ML capabilities, and enabling secure, audit-ready data solutions across Air Force financial management. The role requires collaboration with government and contractor stakeholders to deliver repeatable, scalable data products and automation that enhance data quality, accessibility, and decision support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- 5+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, database support, reporting, automation, or related technical/business solution delivery
- Active Secret Clearance with ability to maintain eligibility
- Hands-on experience with data analysis and programming tools such as Python, PySpark, SQL, R, Scala, Visual Basic, or similar technologies used to parse, cleanse, manipulate, analyze, and visualize large datasets
- Experience creating and maintaining databases and developing data products such as dashboards, visualizations, analytic reports, and data cleansing scripts/processes
- Familiarity with modern data and automation environments, including tools such as Databricks, Palantir, Microsoft Power Platform, or similar platforms
- Exposure to OCR, AI/ML concepts, Generative AI, Agentic AI, or use of large language models (LLMs) in an operational or business environment
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to brief stakeholders, support client-facing work, and operate with limited oversight on assigned tasks or workstreams
