Data Analyst III

Job Summary
Conduct advanced analytics and develop performance intelligence tools to support enterprise-wide information management initiatives. Carry out data analysis, assist in measurement science, and lead strategic projects that enhance organizational outcomes and patient care. Provide analytical support and translation of data for leaders to drive effective decision-making and improvement activities. Mentor team members on programming and querying expertise while ensuring compliance with data governance standards. Collaborate with clinical staff and medical leaders to analyze reports from Epic, PHIS, and other sources, ensuring consistency in reporting and underlying indicator definitions. Recommend changes to enhance reporting functionality and reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, Certifications, or Apprenticeship, in a related field
- Minimum of 5 years related experience in data analysis
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and other data analysis concepts, including but not limited to confidence limits, statistical testing, data modeling and forecasting
- Proficiency in SQL coding
- Strong analytical skills with experience in the evaluation of data integrity and its associated improvement work as well as senior executive reporting
- Advanced communication skills and the ability to effectively work with physicians, nurses and administrators
- The ability to translate clinical requirements to data querying logic
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively work with multiple departments and external organizations
Desired Qualifications
- Healthcare preferred
- Knowledge of Epic Clarity and Business Intelligence
- Knowledgeable of data warehousing tools and concepts related to creation of source marts and subject area marts
