Job Summary
Data Analyst II needed onsite in Houston, TX to support Revenue Cycle Management, Financial, and Accounting departments. Primary duties include extracting and analyzing data from healthcare operations and billing databases, building queries and visualizations (Zoho Analytics, Power BI, DataBricks) to identify trends in metrics such as charges, payments, denial rates, and DSO; developing standard reports and dashboards; documenting data processes; preparing leadership presentations; and collaborating with billing staff, coding specialists, and other teams to improve workflows and revenue performance. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of experience; strong SQL skills are required and Python or R are a plus; experience with Power BI and Zoho Analytics/DataBricks is advantageous; advanced Excel is required; healthcare revenue cycle concepts are preferred. The role reports to the Director of Data Architecture within the Innovation Team and is onsite in Houston.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Business
- 2-5 years of work-related experience
- Strong SQL skills (writing complex joins, CTEs, and aggregations)
- Python or R is a plus
- Zoho Analytics and/or Databricks experience a plus
- Power BI is a plus
- Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, lookups)
- Healthcare knowledge preferred
- Ability to work independently or in a team
- Communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple assignments
