Job Summary
Data Analyst - Finance Data role focusing on finance data validation, reconciliations, data quality investigations, SQL analysis, and reporting controls across Finance and Risk stakeholders. Responsibilities include performing data validation checks for completeness, accuracy, and consistency; analyzing exception reports to identify trends and issues; coordinating with upstream teams to resolve data breaks; performing reconciliations across systems and documenting true-ups with audit trails; maintaining data governance practices and audit-ready documentation; collaborating with finance, risk, and data teams to resolve issues and escalate risks as needed. Required: 2–5 years in finance operations/data controls/reconciliation, strong SQL skills, excellent analytical and communication abilities, attention to detail, and experience with data quality and governance activities.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years’ experience in finance operations, data controls, reconciliation, or reporting
- Solid understanding of reconciliation, data validation, and financial data flows
- Basic knowledge of accounting concepts (e.g. general ledger)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis
- High attention to detail with a strong control and audit mindset
- Comfortable working with large datasets
- Working knowledge of SQL (essential) for data investigation and analysis
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across teams and stakeholders
