Data Analyst (Employee Benefits)

Job Summary

Manage data, prepare peer reviews reports, perform ad-hoc analysis, and assist with rate decisions for Pharmacy clients. Participate in self-funded and fully insured quoting processes while gathering employer benefit options and pricing from carrier partners. Prepare illustrations and provide comparisons for Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability coverages using company-specific software systems. Actively assist brokers and consultants with timely, accurate analytics and decision support information in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with a PC and proficiency in MS Excel
  • Expert ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with decision makers within the company, external clients, and peers
  • Expert ability to work under demanding time constraints and expectations
  • Expert ability to work in a team setting and learn new skills quickly
  • Proficient in prioritizing and handling multiple tasks throughout the day
  • Possesses/acquires knowledge of the local healthcare marketplace, carriers, TPAs, PBMs
  • Must be able to lift and move objects (typically 0 - 10 lbs)

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in a data-related field – such as actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, economics, finance, or computer science
  • Strong ability to leverage industry knowledge, analytical thinking, and technical data skills to analyze data and respond to client questions
  • Experience developing creative solutions in response to changing healthcare landscape
