Job Summary
Data Analyst, Clinical Data Effectiveness at Counterpart Health is responsible for owning the end-to-end understanding of the clinical data lifecycle, identifying data gaps across facilities and data sources (structured claims, CCDAs, ADT messages), monitoring data completeness and quality, and informing vendor strategy, data pipelines, and interoperability investments. The role requires analyzing healthcare interoperability networks (TEFCA/QHIN), working with standards like HL7/CCDA/ADT, evaluating data integration technologies, developing reporting on ADT coverage by geography and EMR system, and collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Clinical teams to optimize clinical data flow. Strong SQL, Python, data visualization, and a passion for high-quality, actionable clinical data are essential, along with experience in value-based care or population health.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on data analytics experience, with direct exposure to healthcare data interoperability
- Strong hands-on experience with healthcare data standards: HL7, CCDA, and ADT messages
- Proficiency in SQL and comfort working with large, complex datasets (claims, clinical logs, interoperability data)
- Background in analyzing interoperability networks (e.g., Carequality, CommonWell, eHealthExchange) or HIE integrations
- Skilled at data visualization and able to present complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong investigative mindset, i.e., you enjoy digging into the “why” behind missing data and diverging metrics
- Self-directed and able to manage multiple analytical projects (vendor comparisons, visit-level reconciliation) without constant supervision
