Job Summary
Design and build semantic models in Azure Fabric on top of consolidated SQL Server data, balancing performance, usability, and governance. Own the handoff from the data engineering team's cleansed, integrated data into consumable, well-modeled semantic layers. Build and maintain Power BI reporting, including DAX measures, security, and deployment pipelines. Shape API access patterns and AI use cases while documenting architecture and modeling decisions for team ownership. Partner with and mentor the data engineering team on cloud and semantic-modeling concepts. This foundational infrastructure work supports reporting, API integrations, and future AI-driven analysis for the company's 44 million members.

- Experience building semantic models in Azure Fabric
- Experience with SQL Server
- Experience building Power BI reporting
- Knowledge of DAX measures
- Knowledge of row-level and object-level security
- Knowledge of deployment pipelines
- Ability to document architecture, modeling decisions, and processes
- Ability to partner with and mentor data engineering teams on cloud and semantic-modeling concepts
