Job Summary
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the corporate exploration database system while ensuring accurate capture, storage, validation, and integrity of geological, geochemical, geophysical, drilling, and remote sensing datasets. Establish data governance protocols, QA/QC procedures, and standards to manage multi-disciplinary integration, metadata, and version control. Conduct advanced analysis using statistical, spatial, and machine-learning techniques to generate prospectivity maps, target ranking models, and anomaly interpretations for mineral exploration targeting. Develop dashboards and analytical reports to support decision-making and deliver visualizations to senior management. Collaborate with exploration geologists, GIS specialists, and data scientists to translate complex datasets into actionable insights for greenfields exploration and resource development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Geo science, Geo informatics, Data Science or Earth Sciences
- Minimum 10 years of experience in exploration database management
- Minimum 10 years of experience in geological data analysis
- Minimum 10 years of experience in mineral exploration data integration
- Experience working with large multi-disciplinary exploration datasets
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree (preferred)
- Experience in base metals, precious metals, or critical minerals exploration
