Job Summary
Senior Data/AI Engineer leading the design and delivery of data and AI solutions across Lakehouse and SQL Server environments. Own projects end-to-end from problem framing through architecture, prototyping, and production deployment. Develop modern healthcare data platforms and AI capabilities, including medallion architecture, Delta Lake, and T-SQL ETL. Build NLP/NLU, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), document-level LLM extraction, and agentic frameworks for EHR/EMR, PM, pharmacy, claims, and clinical notes. Drive 0-to-1 initiatives from concept to production, explore solution spaces, and deliver measurable value. Serve as a technical lead on cross-functional initiatives, establish technical direction, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, clinical, analytics, and platform teams. Operate across Databricks and major cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS) and leverage AI-assisted development tooling to accelerate delivery. Familiarity with HIPAA, PHI-handling, multi-tenant data isolation, and scalable production-grade data solutions. Strong emphasis on performance tuning, data modeling, SDLC discipline, and clear communication to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or Analytics with production deployment experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Analytics, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake, major cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS), PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake fundamentals
- Proficiency in T-SQL on Microsoft SQL Server (or PLSQL/Oracle) including stored procedures, views, and functions
- Proven experience deploying NLP/NLU and modern AI/LLM-based systems (RAG, document-level extraction) from research to production
- Healthcare data experience (EHR/EMR, PM, pharmacy, claims, clinical notes) with HIPAA compliance
- Strong technical leadership, scope initiatives, mentor mid-level engineers, and collaborate across teams
- Experience with SDLC, Git, CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), automated testing, data quality, observability
- Hands-on experience with Claude Code, Codex, or similar AI-assisted development tools
- Experience with medallion Lakehouse architecture (bronze/silver/gold) and data modeling (dimensional/normalized)
- Excellent written and verbal communication to influence decisions
