Job Summary
Administer the DAS ODA under FAA Order 8100-15B and the ODA Procedures Manual, serving as the primary point of contact with the FAA NY-ACO for all STC development projects, amendments, and validations. Provide project management oversight, coordinate regulatory activities, and assemble technical documentation including GND test plans and electrical load analyses. Manage Unit Members and Managers, conduct internal audits, ensure training and certification compliance, and prepare quarterly reports to the ACO. Deliver projects on time and on budget while fostering a "Right First Time" culture. Requires five years of FAA experience in technical airworthiness and management, plus proficiency in avionics or cabin systems regulations.
Required Qualifications
- At least five years of working experience with the FAA on projects similar to those authorized under the ODA
- This experience must include various levels of technical airworthiness responsibilities and experience
- This experience must include management experience in one or more technical disciplines
- Comprehensive knowledge of FAA regulations, policies, and procedures applicable to the ODA functions
- Demonstrated sound judgment and integrity
- Sufficient technical knowledge, training, skill, and experience to administer cabin interior and avionics STCs on Falcon aircraft
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and proficiencies in; the Federal Aviation Administration regulations, procedures and requirements as applicable to aircraft Avionics and cabin systems
- Demonstrated knowledge in one of the following technical disciplines; electrical engineering/avionics, mechanical engineering/structures, aerospace engineering
- Must be able to effectively communicate with technical teams
