DAS Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary
Coordinate with carriers, end users, facility managers, and equipment vendors while troubleshooting, testing, and performing preventative maintenance on distributed antenna systems. Generate status reports, track open trouble tickets to closure, and manage parts procurement, equipment repair, inventory, and documentation. Work hands-on with antennas, fiber optics, coax, and RF amplifiers to conduct radio frequency exposure studies and interference analysis. Support the DAS Network Operations Center, enable business growth, and ensure customer satisfaction through weekly on-call rotation covering 24x7 operations. Travel primarily within New England with opportunities nationwide.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- Must be willing to travel up to 50%
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a company background check
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Requires knowledge of radio frequency and fiber optic communication technology
- Must have strong interpersonal and communications skills to be able to effectively communicate complex issues with peers, supervisors, and managers
- Must be able to work effectively within a diverse work force including engineers, project managers, skilled craft workers, consultants, customers, and regulatory agency personnel
- Weekly on-call rotation, 24x7 (approximately 25-50%)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience or familiarity with radio frequency devices and/or systems is highly desirable
- Experience troubleshooting DAS systems including CommScope, JMA, SOLID & Corning
- Familiar with the basics of IP Networking
- Proficient in basic computer applications (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)
- Ability to learn quickly and understand technical materials
- Ability to shift gears quickly as priorities change
- A solid understanding of fundamental engineering principles and the ability to effectively work on multiple engineering projects simultaneously
