Job Summary
The Picker at Miller Waste Systems is responsible for the safe and efficient collection of commercial waste streams, adhering to safety protocols and the Occupational Health & Safety Act. Provides reliable customer service, collects waste to be delivered to local transfer stations, compost facilities, or landfills, and follows schedules and company policies while respecting relevant laws and by-laws. The role may involve extended hours and weekend work as needed and requires physical stamina for lifting up to 50lbs and standing for long periods.
Required Qualifications
- Availability of working 48 hours a week is mandatory
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Flexibility with work schedule
- Start and end times may vary
- Statutory Holidays and/or weekends may be required
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Highly productive, energetic and safety conscious
- Team player with safe working habits
